When you purchase a used vehicle, the app will help you determine our current owner of the vehicle and how old the vehicle is. This application will provide vehicle registration details such as owner name, fuel type, date of registration and chassis number and engine number.
Verify your vehicle registration details. If the owner's details are not accurate, replace it immediately with Vehicle RTO India.
The Ministry of Road Transport has asked the state transport departments and traffic police not to insist on original (hard copy) documents such as driving license, certificate of registration and insurance papers for verification.
The consultation was issued citing the provisions of the Technology (IT) Act. It also states that any of these documents in "electronic form" certified by the government's Digilocker or M.Transport applications should be considered valid.

This is in response to several complaints and RTI petitions received in the ministry where citizens have raised the issue that the documents available in the Digilocker or M.Transport application are not considered valid by the traffic police or the motor vehicle department when asked to ask.
